Calling for participation

YWCA Japan's program "Pilgrimage to Hiroshima" has continued for more than 40 years, providing opportunity for participants to visit Hiroshima to learn about the atomic bomb,
uЂ낵܂l闷vS}[N Ĺuh[vƁulv\Ă܂BH́uvƕȁےungvC[WĂ܂B
and to think and dicuss what we can do towards a nuclear-free world.

The great earthquake that occured on 11th March has caused a major accident in the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, which has been declared as maximum level 7. An enormous number of nearby residents have been forced to evacuate, and are living in the fear of invisible radiation. The fear and the danger does not stay within these areas or Japan, and this problem has become a global concern.

This is an important time for us to think about the nuclear issue seriously, and consider the future that we will choose. The programs will include:
-Visit to Peace Memorial Museum
-Field visits including visits to memorial monuments and listening to testimonies by atom-bomb survivors
-Group work and workshop to discuss what how to pass on the messages to the future

Language assistance in English, Chinese and Korean will be available depending on necessity.
We await your participation!
